Become a leadership volunteer that networks and represents Second Harvest in local communities across Canada. Duties can include: facilitating education sessions, attending local events, speaking engagements, managing projects and volunteers. This role requires a minimum 6-month commitment. Help Second Harvest at a variety of community events across Canada. Activities can include building brand awareness, running fun and informative activities, selling tickets, registration, set up/tear down and more. Volunteers must be 19+ years of age. Shift times may vary by event.

Provide leadership support by facilitating group food sorts and ensuring volunteers have an engaging and educational experience while visiting Second Harvest Headquarters in Toronto, ON. Shift times: 3 hours Tuesdays through Thursdays.

Assist our operations team in distributing surplus food to our network of non-profit organizations. Toronto-based opportunities include: Driver Assistant, Warehouse Assistant, Food Sorters and more. Palette Packing and Food Distribution volunteers help to pack and/or distribute donated food to local non-profit partners at various locations across Canada.
