The Women's Earth and Climate Action Network is seeking several new Women Speak Research Interns to join our dynamic team of women working for climate justice, systemic change, and women's leadership in climate change solutions. Women Speak Research Interns will work remotely from their home region, with a fantastic team of volunteers from around the world - to conduct pointed research, summary writing, and data upload to contribute to the WECAN storytelling and research database - 'Women Speak: Stories, Case Studies and Solutions From The Frontlines of Climate Change’.

Required Qualifications:
Confident and thorough research skills
Strong writing skills and an enjoyment of writing
Highly self-motivated and able to work independently
Great organization and attention to detail
Developed background and active interest in key areas, including climate change, climate justice, women's rights, social justice, activism, international policy, community organizing, Indigenous rights.
Willingness to dedicate personal time to expanding understanding of critical climate justice themes and WECAN frameworks and programs.
Bachelor's degree, current university enrollment OR equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working for an environmentally focused /climate justice/social justice non-profit.
Diverse life experiences and backgrounds

Internship Details:
This is a remote position which may be carried out independently from any location worldwide
5 hour per week commitment (to be carried out flexibly on your schedule)
This is a 6 month commitment, though all researchers involved will be invited to continue to contribute for as long as they wish after their initial internship period.
This is an unpaid internship - WECAN is willing to work with institutions/schools to satisfy credit requirements, volunteer hours, etc.
Interns are expected to have their own reliable computer, internet access, and ability to work on online programs, primarily Google Docs
